With nearly 20 years of experience in software and more than a decade guiding Innerspace’s technical direction, Andreas Berger focuses on bridging the gap between complex demands of the pharmaceutical industry and scalable technological solutions.

Innerspace originally started with VR training to support human behavior, workforce excellence, and GMP-compliant performance in aseptic pharmaceutical manufacturing.

From the beginning, the company’s mission was to help pharmaceutical manufacturers improve quality risk management (QRM) by strengthening how people understand and execute critical processes.

Through close collaboration with leading pharmaceutical companies worldwide, a broader perspective emerged: training was only one part of a larger system. Meaningful impact requires a holistic view of the interaction between processes, equipment, and people.

By listening closely to customer challenges, recurring patterns became visible to the Innerspace team. While some risks in the aseptic production process were obvious, others were subtle, context-dependent, and deeply embedded in process execution.

Andreas Berger refers to these as ‘conscious risks’ that can be managed through training, but also as risks the pharma industry has simply come to accept and live with – yet a significant portion of risks often stems from completely unknown or invisible areas of the process.
